SH2-313 (Abell 35 )

This object which is also known as Abell 35 is much like another famous object known as The Helix Nebula. This object is also located in a place where the Sharpless objects are not usually found, Corvus. It has a strong blue and green area in the middle with a nice other shell you see in red. SH2-313 also responds very well to the hydrogen-alpha filter as well as the oxygen III and sulfur II. This would be a great object for a large size telescope and even more so if it was located in the Southern Hemisphere. But be prepared to shoot a very long time as this object is rather dim and you will need a great deal of exposure to colorize it. The color image was taken only with wide band filters to display how well standard color filters work so well.
