SH2-302 (Snowman Nebula )

This small nebula in northern Puppis responds very well with the hydrogen alpha filter, and you can get a nice image over all without a lot of time. There are some outer areas that are fainter that will require more time to capture this part of SH2-302. Therefore, a normal LRGB image can also be obtained, and this nebula has a bit of reflection nebula that comes out very well. Consequently, narrowband filters are really not needed. You can also forget about using the OIII and make a narrowband color image. None showed up in the 15 minute test I did. When doing an HA-RGB, you need to create a composite in Photoshop so you can restore the nice reflection nebula which is hidden in the H-Alpha channel. A large telescope should get a really nice image around the reflection part of this object.
