SH2-207 (Sharpless 207 )

This Sharpless object is larger and of the two with SH2-208 just below it. It also has some interesting structure in it that almost resembles a tiny Rossette nebula. Nearby Sh2-208 below it is close enough that even a longer focal length telescope can pick both up in the same field of view. Sh2-207 responds well to the hydrogen-alpha filter and picks up well with the color filters. A wider field of view will also pick up some nice nebula in the area more so to the right of SH2-208. But this area is quite dim so long exposure time works best.
