SH2-126 (Sharpless 126 )

This large nebula needs a good field of view to capture the entire area; in this case, I had a 3 by 2 degree field. The nebula is fairly faint with just a clear filter and does well if the luminance is with a red filter. However, the hydrogen-alpha will show good detail in a short amount of time, although you do need some time on this one to get a good signal to noise ratio. There is not much structure over all on this one, so using a larger telescope would not help much, nor would using an OIII filter be beneficial.
